This project tries to deter the children from hanging around in the streets and starting to take drugs, stealing or joining gangs. This is a big problem in poor families where the parents don’t have regular work and additionally are seldom at home. Therefore the project has a location where the children can go from 4 to 8 pm. In the morning they are at school. For very poor children there is a possibility to stay over night. In total there are about 70 to 80 children following this program.
Your work could consist of:
Motivating the children to participate in educational board games
- Helping them with their home work
- Teaching English
- Organising outdoor activities
- Participating and helping with the activities organised by the project leader
